    "In regards to skills shortages, I believe this will be a huge problem facing the industry in the years to come and the time to act is now – I personally believe the industry needs to invest further in 'grass roots' rail engineering colleges, whilst also engaging the younger audience earlier, to get people interested in the industry from a younger age. In the short term I believe businesses and hiring manager should rely on specialist rail recruiters further, so they can draw on their networks of highly skilled professionals that they may not be able to access or have the time to access."
